Vedic Cultural Center
Vedic Culture:
Arguably the oldest scriptures available to mankind, the Vedic philosophy offers a unique and practical outlook on life, its source and its purpose. Though compiled primarily by Veda-Vyaas, the knowledge incarnation of God 5000 years ago, the true source of the Vedas date back to the creation of the universe. And yet the merits of its teachings remain as relevant today as they have ever been.
The corroborative integrity of the content of Vedic literatures in many diverse and geographically distant regions of the world is a testament to the merits of these inherent policing systems. It almost seems unimaginable that Vedic literatures could have resisted the propensity for sentiment and perspective creep over thousands and thousands of years of oral tradition, and yet its resilience to alteration and change is perhaps the most remarkable, fascinating and distinguishing factor that characterizes Vedic scriptures.
The Vedic Cultural Center of Seattle is being aims to spread this understanding and propagate the timeless teachings to the global community resident in Seattle. We endeavor to develop & nurture the knowledge bases & teach the young generation the importance of this key philosophy from which various other philosophies have originated. This is done through the medium of dance and drama, music and cultural events such as the "Kalakshetra".
The Vedic Cultural Center also distributes the sanctified food Prasadam in the broader puget sound area. Mantra Meditation is the primay mode of expandign the Vedic Culture through the group or congregational chanting of Hare Krishna Mantra.
