Announcing Seattle Desi Map

After our beta launch in November 2007, we have been working to build different features and provide content that matters to Seattle Desi community. On this auspicious day of Sankranthi, we are excited to launch Seattle Desi Map, the first ever desi map that can show all important places and events in Seattle on a single map. We hope you will use this map and let us know how it works for you.

Click here to access Seattle Desi Map. Be sure to check your choices on the Desi Filter to see pins on the map. You can hover your mouse on any pin to see more information. A few key features that are part of this update are the following:

a) Ability to add a Place. Even if you are adding an organization, you should use Place with appropriate address etc, as Seattle Desi Map plots all organizations as Places
b) Ability to set Location for Events and get plotted on the map
c) Ability to set audience type and the event type so that you are target right audience and it is easy for visitors to see exactly what they want
d) Ability to set "My Location." For each map point, we provide the distance from "My Location" and also provide you a single-click Driving Directions.
